Warranty, Shipping, Repair, and General Policies
Effective January 2021
New Granger amplifiers are lifetime warranted to the original purchaser against failure of workmanship and materials, which covers any repairs required to bring the unit back to it’s original factory stock condition. It excludes freight (shipping charges) to or from the factory. It does not include circuit updates, product feature upgrades, nor modifications. Our obligation is limited to restoring the unit to the original product specifications at the time of manufacture. This warranty excludes abuse (whether intentional or accidental), vacuum tubes, output transformers, blown speakers, customer-supplied parts, cosmetics, physical damage (such as water or other foreign substances), improper use (Variacs to change the mains voltage, powering amplifiers from undersized generators or inverters, etc.), customer-initiated return shipping damage, or attempted repairs by anyone other than Granger authorized service facility or technician, unless prior authorization is granted by Granger Amplification.
No other warranty applies. This warranty applies only if the amplifier has not been damaged by accident, misuse or as a result of repair or modification. This warranty is not transferable. Granger Amplification LLC reserves the right to make any design changes without notice or obligation to incorporate these changes in products previously purchased.
Repairs under warranty are based on the sole discretion of Granger Amplification LLC or it’s authorized agents. We reserve the right to suspend a warranty, nor service any unit which, in our opinion, has been abused, modified, or improperly serviced by unauthorized personnel, or if the customer has an outstanding, unpaid balance due. We reserve the right to substitute components of equal or improved quality for repairs when necessary.
Units being returned for service must be pre-authorized by Granger Amplification LLC. An RA number must be provided by us, and must appear on the exterior of the package or we reserve the right to refuse the package upon receipt. A copy of the bill of sale/invoice must be provided. COD’s of any kind will not be accepted. Please contact us to obtain an RA Number.
Non Warranty Service
Units being returned for service that are not covered under warranty will be serviced at the current bench rate in effect at the time of repair, plus parts required, plus any applicable sales tax. Amplifier/equipment owner is responsible for all shipping charges.
Repair Labor/Parts Warranty
We offer a 60 day warranty on our labor and parts on repair items, excluding tubes and speakers. We do not offer any warranty on customer-supplied parts, nor do we warranty labor for installing them, or warranty labor for repairs that include customer-supplied parts.
Shipping charges for international orders (outside the Unites States) are estimated at the time an order is placed, based on in-effect rates of our shipping carriers. However, due to rate increases and other extenuating circumstances beyond our control, the customer may be required to pay any additional charges to cover shipping expenses upon shipment of product. We will never intentionally profit from extra shipping charges, only what our carrier charges us, and a minimal amount to cover our packaging costs. We will provide a commercial invoice and customs forms as required by the carrier and the United States government. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have met their country’s requirements to receive imported merchandise. We will in no way be liable for shipments that are held by customs due to customer’s negligence in meeting the necessary requirements. The customer is responsible for all duties and taxes that their country may impose. Any item that is shipped to Granger Amplification that incurs duty/brokerage fees by the carrier must be paid by the customer before any work is done and item shipped.
All repair/service items checked in at our shop will require the customer to pay a $40, non-refundable deposit, per item, when items are checked in. In addition, we require the customer to sign a work authorization stating that they agree to our terms and policies. No item will be accepted until these conditions are met. Deposits for items shipped to us are at the discretion of Granger Amplification and will be considered on a per item basis before the item is shipped. Deposits paid on amplifier orders are considered a binding agreement to purchase amplifier, and no refunds will be paid if a customer defaults on remaining balance.
For new amp orders and deposits, we accept personal check, money order, PayPal, and all major credit cards. Please note there will be a waiting period for checks to clear our bank, plus five business days. We charge a $40 fee for returned checks, and an alternate payment method must be used before products are shipped. Please do not mail cash. Please contact us when mailing payments so that we will be made aware of it.
For service, repair, and modification work, we accept cash (locally only), money order, and all major credit cards. We charge a 3.5% convenience fee for credit card payments which will be added to the final invoice. Personal checks, accepted for payment when picking up equipment, are at the sole discretion of Granger Amplification for existing customers in good standing.
All balances must be paid in full before items are released to customer. No carrier shipments will be processed until balances are paid in full. Any outstanding balances will incur a 15% interest charge per month until balance is paid in full. Balances on completed amp orders are due when the product is ready to ship and customer notified. Any amplifier order with an outstanding balance that is not paid within 15 business days will be sold to recuperate parts and labor expenses and any deposit/payments paid by customer will be non-refundable.
Any item(s) not picked up or not shipped after 30 calendar days, due to a balance being unpaid, after the customer has been notified, will incur a storage fee of $10 per month, per item. Items left over 3 months from date of repair invoice are considered abandoned, and become the property of Granger Amplification LLC, and may be disposed of and/or sold as needed, without notice, to recover our expenses.
Standard Shipping Service
Each customer has the opportunity to choose from several shipping methods. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout, or by using the Estimate Shipping Charges function after adding a product to your cart. If for any reason Granger Amplification LLC deems the chosen shipping method to be unsuitable for the required shipment, we may select another carrier. We will attempt to keep your shipping costs as low as possible, or change carriers at our own expense.
Shipping Charges are based on item weight and package(s) size. There is a continual improvement on products to ensure the item weight and therefore the postage and packing charges are inline with actual costs. Postage and packaging prices are not set to make any profit from postage and packaging services, only to cover nominal expense of shipping materials and vendor fees. If you notice a discrepancy in weight of similar items displayed, please contact us so we may investigate and correct. Due to the nature of shipping requirements, sometimes the actual shipping amount may exceed the shipping charged during checkout, due to package size and insured items. In this event, we will inform you as soon as possible, and it may be necessary to invoice you for the difference.
Estimated Shipping Disclaimer
Please note that shipping charges are estimated and do not take into account multiple, over-sized packages or insurance. We estimate shipping costs in order to keep shipping costs as minimal as possible. Actual shipping charges will be calculated and added when your order is processed. If there is a significant increase in shipping your order will be held and you will be contacted. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you.
If the shopping cart failed to properly calculate shipping cost and your shipping amount was not reflected in your online shopping cart receipt, we will calculate it manually only charging you our actual cost. If you would like to be notified about the shipping amount before we ship your order, please place a note to notify you in the “Special Instructions/Notes” field during checkout. This may be due to the service you selected being unavailable for your location, formatting issues, malformed Postal/Zip codes, items weighing more than 100 lbs. or your order being split into multiple packages.
Delivery Times AND SHIPPING
Items will be shipped as soon as possible (normally within 3-5 business days) and should arrive within the following timescales:
1. USA (2-5 days)
2. International (8-15 days)
These are not guarantied delivery times. Granger Amplification reserves the right to hold shipments until payments are posted to our bank. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: PayPal eChecks, credit card payments, and personal checks. If you require a guaranteed delivery date please contact us first so that we can discuss payment and shipping options.
You will become owner of the goods on delivery to you. Once the goods have been delivered, you will hold them at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss, damage or destruction.
Please note, orders shipped via USPS First Class Mail are not insured. You assume all risk of damage and lost shipments once the order ships. If you require insured shipments, please choose USPS Priority Mail or UPS.
If you ask for items to be shipped to an address that is not the same as your payment card billing address, or if you any of your payment details are not verifiable, then additional delays may occur as we carry out further checks. This is to protect our customers from card fraud.
Recycled packaging may be used to reduce our shipping costs, resulting in better prices for our customers.
The accuracy of data entered when placing an order is the sole responsiblity of the customer. Charges (taxes, low order fees, shipping, etc.) that result due to inaccurate data being entered are non-refundable. Please review the accuracy of all data entered before submitting your order.
We do our best to keep items in stock, but occasionally items may be backordered. If this occurs we will notify you as soon as possible. We will ship the items as soon as they are received.
Order Returns AND CANCELLED ORDERS
Granger Amplification Custom Shop strives to satisfy the customer and offer the highest levels of quality and service. If you are dissatisfied with our products (excluding our hand-built amplifiers, cabinets, amp kits, or any other special order that includes non-regularly stocked items, which are non-refundable), simply follow the directions below to return the order within 30 days of invoice date and we will promptly process your request and refund your payment, minus any non-refundable vendor or merchant processing fees, and shipping and handling charges. Please ensure the product is in all its original packaging and has not been used. Items that show signs of use or neglect may only qualify for partial refund or credit, or none at all, based on our discretion. Modification kits that are partially assembled, missing parts, or show signs of failure due to improper assembly or use will not be credited. Returned orders are subject to a 15% restocking & processing fees.
Please note: Items that do not function properly when installed by unqualified users are not eligible for return. Please ensure you have the necessary skill level indicated in the product page before purchasing modification kits or other components, or that you have arranged for a qualified technician to install parts for you. If you have any questions regarding installation of our products, please contact us before ordering.
Cancellation of large orders that have already been packaged for shipment are subject to 15% restocking & processing fees even if the order has not shipped. All amplifier, cabinet, amp kit, and special order item sales are final. If your order arrived with shipping damage, contact us immediately so that we can file a damage claim with the shipper and arrange a return to assess the damage and repair your amp. Items that test defective by a qualified amplifier technician may be returned for exchange. Any orders cancelled before shipment, for any reason, are subject to the above terms, including printed postage, handling, and non-refundable vendor and merchant fees.
A Return Authorization Number is required! Please contact us by e-mail or by Telephone (205-774-0350) between the hours of 9:30am-6:00pm Central Time to receive an RA before returning any items. If calling after hours or in the event of no answer you may leave a message requesting an RA and we will email or call back.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges, and assume all risk of loss/damage – please insure your shipment properly. Upon receipt we will ensure that your credit card or PayPal account is credited within 10 business days for any returned items that meet the terms listed above, minus any bank vendor fees. Refunds can take 5-10 business days to appear on a customer’s statement.
When Shipping To Granger Amplification
Granger amplifiers being returned for service must be pre-authorized by Granger Amplification LLC. An RA (return authorization) number must be provided by us, and must appear on the exterior of the package or we reserve the right to refuse the package upon receipt. A copy of the bill of sale/invoice must be provided for warranty service. COD’s of any kind will not be accepted. Please contact us to obtain an RA number. Any customs/VAT/carrier charges imposed and billed to us on international shipments will require immediate payment from the shipper before any work will begin.
When shipping your amp or other items to us for repair, please use these shipping guidelines: Note: An RA number is not required if you have prearranged via email or phone a shipment of any other brand of amplifier other than Granger.
Label your item(s) with your name, address, phone number, and email address. A piece of paper affixed with masking or scotch tape works fine.
Make sure there is at least 3 to 5 inches of tightly packed foam or bubble wrap around all sides. Some carriers will pack using Styrofoam (packing) peanuts. Although we will accept packages containing them, you will be billed at our normal hourly rate of $80 while we unpack, separate the packing material, and clean up. In other words, the clock starts when we cut open the box. The quicker we unpack, the less it will cost you. Packing times are not included in our estimates.
Place the item(s) in a sturdy cardboard box. Double the box for heavier items. Make sure the item(s) will not shift when the box is jostled. Most shipping damage occurs when the item(s) is not secured inside the packaging and can shift during transit. Upon completion of our work, we will pack the item(s) as we received them. If you have doubts or concerns about your packaging, contact your chosen carrier – they can advise you of the minimum packaging required to ensure your item is covered in case of shipping damage.
If shipping vacuum tubes outside of the amplifier, wrap each tube in an adequate amount of bubble wrap and place inside a separate box, or boxes, then wrap box in bubble wrap, and place in a secure location – either inside the back of amp, or on top of the chassis. We are not responsible for broken tubes!
Include your name, complete address, phone number with area code, email address, amount to insure the return shipment, model number of your item(s) and the problem, or requested work to be done, on a separate sheet of paper inside your package. Schematics and/or service manuals are also very helpful, and will reduce labor charges that may include searching for, and printing those resources.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges, including added costs to properly insure items for return shipment, and assume all risk of loss/damage – please insure your shipment properly. Damage to items being shipped to us are the responsibility of the shipper. We will assist you in a claim by taking digital photographs, but will assume no liability for damaged items, nor will we act as a liaison to your carrier.
