GNR-10036 amplifier

The GNR-10036 is an all-tube, hand-wired, 100 watt guitar amplifier. Built to create all the classic British rock tones, from 60’s Cream and Hendrix, through 70’s Van Halen, 80’s Guns N Roses, and beyond. This 100 watt screamer can create the best of the “hotrodded and heavily modded” hard rock amp tones that flourished in the LA rock scene, but it’s not limited to just that. Lush or funky clean tones are easily achieved at any setting by rolling off the guitar volume, on both the Normal Plexi channel AND the Overdrive Modern channel as well.

Two footswitchable channels (Normal Plexi and Overdrive Modern), and both Pre and Post phase inverter master volumes, allow for a wide array of tones to be dialed in. Hammond transformers are used for both superior tone and durability. Four JJ ECC83S/12AX7 preamp tubes, and four JJ 6550 power tubes for awesome, all-tube tone. Front panel controls/jacks are from L-R: Indicator – Mains switch – Standby switch – Post PI Master Volume – Presence – Bass – Mids – Treble – Pre PI Master Volume – Gain 1 – Channel Selector Switch – Gain 2 – Treble Peak Selector Switch – Input jack – Footswitch jack. Rear panel controls/jacks are from L-R: Passive effects loop Send & Return jacks – Bias test jacks – 2 speaker jacks – Impedance selector (4/8/16 ohms) – 1A HT fuse, 4A Mains fuse – AC Mains inlet (for detachable power cable). The power amp is fixed biased, with external bias adjustment pot and bias test jacks for the 4 output tubes. For the service-minded player, an external bias adjustment with low voltage test points (1 per output tube and 1 common ground) allows the user to bias the amp when replacing valves without removing the chassis. Custom options include tolex and piping head cabinet changes, gold or silver “Plexi” knobs, and a custom cover with the Granger logo.
